Sergio Miracola

Sergio Miracola has served as a Research Fellow at ISPI at ISPI. He obtained his Ph.D. in Political History at IMT Advanced Studies of Lucca, Italy, with a dissertation on Chinese Strategic Culture. During his Ph.D. he has also been a Visiting Research Student at Peking University (BeiDa). Moreover, he is a Junior Researcher at CSCC (Center for the Study of Contemporary China) and a collaborator for the Italian online newspaper Cinaforum.

Ludovica Meacci

Ludovica Meacci is a freelance China analyst. She holds an MSc in Contemporary China Studies from SOAS University of London and was a 2017 Yenching scholar at Peking University. Her research interests lie in Chinese politics and foreign policy, with an emphasis on EU-China relations. Her work has appeared in the Financial Times, Foreign Policy, and Il manifesto among others.

Frank Maracchione

Frank Maracchione is a PhD candidate of the School of East Asian Studies and recipient of an ESRC White Rose Pathway Award at the University of Sheffield, England. He was also a visiting research student at the Renmin University of China in Beijing, where he conducted research for his Master’s thesis on counterterrorism in Xinjiang and Central Asia. His area of interest includes Chinese foreign policy and foreign aid (particularly in Central Asia and along the Belt and Road), together with Central Asian politics and international relations.

Maria Mancinelli

Maria Mancinelli is Programme Manager of the Freedom of Religion or Belief & Foreign Policy Initiative at the University of Sussex, and part-time Assistant Research Fellow for the ‘Religions and International Relations’ Programme promoted by ISPI. A native of Akron, Ohio, she holds a BA in International Studies and Latin American Studies from Miami University and MA in Migration Studies from the University of Sussex, with a dissertation on the Humanitarian Corridors initiative in Italy.
