Yang Li Allen is a Ph.D. candidate from the Department of Politics, The New School for Social Research. Prior to The New School, Yang received two MA degrees, one in political science from George Mason University and the other in area studies, focusing on China and East Asia, from Yonsei University (Seoul, South Korea). She is a current Mitacs Research Fellow at the Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada, working on Canada-China bilateral economic cooperation and technological innovation.

Kirton is director of the G20 Research Group and the G7 Research Group, co-director of the BRICS Research Group, and co-director of the Global Health Diplomacy Program, all based at the Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy at Trinity College in the University of Toronto, where he is a professor of political science and Canadian foreign policy.
